February Maintenance Update

Managing your maintenance cost takes constant planning and being diligent in the smallest of details. By utilizing the best practices that J.B. Hunt Maintenance has developed you can prevent unnecessary spikes and avoid issues like downtime and driver expenses tied to shuttling trucks to the shop. Items such as DOT violations and shut downs can be avoided by doing proper daily pre-trip and post trip inspections and by maintaining proper PM service intervals. Teamwork and communication will always be the primary keys to executing the maintenance plan and it will take every member of the team; driver, account manager, area maintenance manager, MOC, scheduler and all of the maintenance vendors to be successful. Build the relationship with your team and watch the costs go down. Start today if you are not building a team atmosphere at your account. If you need any assistance or support in reviewing your current plan or moving it to the next level, just contact your Area Maintenance Manager.
Thank You! The DCS Maintenance Team

Sickness is always prevalent this time of year and precautions should be taken to reduce your risk of getting sick.
Here are a few tips to keep in mind:
• Cover your cough or sneeze.
• Wash or sanitize your hands often.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth.
• Clean and disinfect surfaces or objects.
Driver Maintenance Tip
Another great feature of the JBHDrive app is the ‘Service Request’ option! If a piece of equipment is being dropped or will be idle, this is the perfect option to notify Maintenance of an equipment issue, upload pictures of the issue (if necessary), and notify Maintenance of the location of the piece of equipment. This option should only be used for dropped or idle equipment and is not intended for submitting issues to be addressed on your tractor at your next B-Service. Any issues or repairs that you want addressed at your next scheduled B Service should continue to be entered via the ‘Add to B-Service’ option in the JBHDrive app. If you haven’t already, consider downloading the app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store today
