Our Columbus LDC is conducting the end of quarter raffle tomorrow morning (TV) and decided they would turn it into an Easter themed event with a Giant Chocolate Bunny to be raffled as well as individual Baskets of goodies for each of our Professional Driver Teams and helpers. Instead of donuts, we have secured some Easter colored cupcakes for the guys to sugar up on as well. We will be celebrating 130 Days Collision Free and 222 Days Injury Free at the RDC. We decided to do something different and hope to surprise and let our guys at the RDC know how much their safe operation means to us.

February 2015 DOM
Charles
Wooten (“Mr. Charles”) is our most tenured DIS at the Chantilly LDC. He first started his career with JBH back in
2009 at our Hayward Final Mile account, after many years with the previous
provider and later became a successful Builder Specialist. He transferred to the South Region to the
Chantilly LDC as a DIS. His years of
knowledge and expertise provide great coaching and training to everyone around
him.
Charles
is a trainer and has done a fantastic job on-boarding new hires. Charles makes the work environment a pleasure
for all and has played a key role in the turnover reduction at the LDC. He takes pride in what he does but more
importantly wants to see everyone around him develop and be just as good as he
is. Charles is always prepared to speak at the weekly meetings and adds value
to the Manager and Builder Specialists every week. Having this kind of mindset gives
him a bright future and makes him a huge asset to the company.
In all
layers of management, the opinion of Charles is that he is the kind of driver everyone
needs. A guy that makes decisions based
on safety and standard operating procedures.
Charles is always ahead on training and compliance items. The team looks up to him because he is
patient and provides great advice on many things. He’s extremely easy going and does whatever
he needs to do in order to get the job done safely and to provide each and
every customer with a positive “JB Hunt Experience” type of delivery. Since his skills are so well rounded, he is normally
assigned to the more difficult installations and if he isn’t, he is on the
phone providing guidance to the assigned DIS.
We are proud and honored to nominate Charles as the February 2015 Driver
of the Month for the Chantilly VA LDC.
In
his spare time, Charles enjoys spending time with his wife (Tanya) and watching
all kinds of sports, and golfing whenever possible. Charles has 2 daughter, Estasia – 28 and Nina
- 26, who have both graduated college (Arkansas and Cal State,
respectively). Charles also enjoys every
moment and new memory with his 2 grandchildren, Kirra – 5 and Jair - 1 yrs old.
Other outstanding nominees were;
Jeremy Wiggins--Final Mile, Baton Rouge, LA(FMS C)
Fred Robert--Final Mile, Columbus, OH (FSM N)
Arthur Yepez @ Final Mile, Perris CA (FMS W)
